Tammuz Organization’s Statement on the Third Amendment to the Elections Law Re-counting and manual sorting

 In a new precedent of its kind, the Iraqi Council of Representatives held an extraordinary session to make a third amendment to the electoral law and made a decision to manually re-count the poll papers in the whole of Iraq, after objections and questioning the integrity of the elections and the escalation of the entities objecting to the results, and based on our oversight  role aimed at strengthening the process Democracy We would like to point to the following in the session of the council of Representatives on 6/6/2018:

 Our Organization, Tammuz, continues to monitor the election process of the 2018 council of Representatives and all its stages since the amendment of the electoral law until today.


An urgent appeal to the Electoral Commission

 After the completion of the voting process for the elections of the Iraqi Council of Representatives for the period of 10-12 May2018, which our organization monitored many of its centers and stations throughout Iraq, 


Tammuz Organization for Social Development First report on the monitoring of the elections of the Iraqi Council of Representatives 2018

 Definition: Tammuz Observers Network was established in November 2004. It has contributed to the monitoring of all electoral processes since 2005, as well as the provincial elections, the Iraqi Council of Representatives and the referendum on the permanent constitution. In 2005, the organization has more than 100 trainers in the field of elections, in addition to more than 6,500 volunteers working in the activities and programs of the organization, the most important of which is election observation.


Preliminary report on the closing phase of voting stations and stations The electronic counting of the elections of the Iraqi Council of Representatives 2018

Tammuz observers continued to be present at polling stations and centers. They followed up on the closing of the polling stations in the Iraqi legislative elections 2018 at 6:00 pm according to the instructions of the Elections Commission, as expected, with the exception of some displaced centers. The electronic card reader also stopped at 6 pm during this phase, our observers recorded a number of observations on the electronic closing and counting process as shown below:

Tammuz observers continue to be present in the polling stations in addition to the mobile teams that monitor the general situation around the electoral centers and register turnout and participation. Below are some observations that were monitored:

Since Saturday morning, 12 May 2018, the Tammuz Organization for Social Development observers has been monitoring the elections of the Iraqi Council of Representatives in all Iraqi provinces, including the Kurdistan region. Our observers recorded a number of observations during this reporting period, which range from 6 am to 8 am .


The first report of Tammuz Organization for Social Development on the monitoring of election campaigns for the elections of the Iraqi Council of Representatives 2018

Tammuz Organization for Social Development has started monitoring the electoral process for all stages of the elections of the Iraqi Council of Representatives 2018. Today, it provides its first report on monitoring the stage of electoral campaigns for political lists and coalitions and candidates and monitoring their respect and commitment to the campaign system issued by the Electoral Commission.

Tammuz Organization for Social Development started its monitoring of the elections of the Iraqi Council of Representatives for all stages of the electoral process and with the start of the first stage of the election, namely the special vote after the organization monitored the process of amending the electoral law and adopting the method of St. Lego rate 1.7, according to the Iraqi method, the biometric update and distribution of the updated cards, Political entities, coalitions and candidates, and continue to monitor election campaigns that began on April 14 and end at the end of 10 May 2018.
