On November 30, 2022, The Revolution is Female Team – Najaf Governorate, implemented an awareness session on mental health in the hall of Al-Anwar Charitable Foundation for a group of women on the occasion of (16 Days of Activism against Gender-based Violence)
The aim of this session was to educate women about the importance of mental health on the lives of individuals and how to get rid of stress in order to be able to adapt to life changes and crises. The session’s lecture, Mrs. “Najwa Hadi”, in charge of the mental health unit, dealt with the issue of violence against women in all its forms and forms, and the psychological effects it causes and the destruction of the self and personality of women.
After that, the women were allowed to talk about their stories and experiences regarding psychological problems and their effects on their lives and how they faced these crises. Also, the (16 Days of Activism against Gender-based Violence) was talked about by the project coordinator Nashwa Ali, and the importance of pressure during the campaign period on the concerned authorities to legislate laws to preserve the dignity of women and protect them from violence against them.
