Completing 1325 Resolution sessions

On Friday, 20 May, 2022, the female revolution team – Dhi Qar governorate held a dialogue seminar on women’s participation in executive and decision positions.

The session was attended by a number of activists of both sexes interested in women’s issues and they talked about the pillar of participation which is one on the national plan’s that support women’s involvement in executive positons and also talked about how it is important that women must play important roles in decision making and peacebuilding positions.

Challenges faced by women; such as defamation campaigns, and questioning their ability to hold executive positions, were also addressed.

At the end, the session had several recommendations the most prominent of which was that women should have a bigger participation in formatting the next government so that women would take their real part in decision making.
