Educational seminar on domestic violence in Dhi Qar

on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, in the hall of Imam Al-Kadhim College in Dhi Qar,The Tammuz Organization for Social Development implemented an educational symposium on domestic violence on the occasion of the 16-day campaign to combat violence against women,

it was attended by a group of professors and students of the college, where the discussion took place during the symposium about violence in all its forms, types, causes, and how to reduce it.

After that, the door for discussion and interventions was opened, and the symposium came out with several recommendations, the most prominent of which were:

* The need to legislate anti-violence laws in a way that is compatible with the current situation.

* Holding educational seminars and workshops in which the media and civil society organizations have a pioneering role.

Developing secondary and university education curricula for tolerance and understanding instead of violence.

* Addressing the economic factor and poverty as it has an impact and encourages violence.
