Providing the first batch of aid to displaced students in the camps
With the beginning of the new academic year 2016-2017, Tammuz Organization for Social Development distributed the first portion of aids for IDPs students in camps in Amryat Fallujah –Anbar province; these assistances will reducing the burden and suffering of parents to provide the students kits and contribute in encouraging the students to go on their tuition. Tammuz Organization distributed more than 55 school bags and stationery for students of IDPs, especially orphan students.
The aids included the students of primary school in Um al-Qura School in IDPs’ camps in Amiriyat Fallujah. Parents expressed their thanks to the organization to pay attention to this segment and encourage them to continue their studies through the moral and material support, especially these groups become vulnerable and marginalized because of the conditions of displacement on their psychological live and because some of them loss householder, which have negatively impacted on their lives and their hope for the future. This assistance is from the financial donations offered by friends of organization to support the students of IDPs and hope to return to their regions after liberating from Daesh and achieve stability and build their cities and continue their scientific living.
It is worth mentioning that Tammuz Organization for Social Development aims to support education for the victims of war and terrorism, where it had previously helped thousands of students in the academic project “Hold my Hand” implemented by the organization, in addition to dozen of activities and projects that improve the quality of education and eradicate illiteracy. Tammuz Organization did not interrupted all possible assistances for IDPs in more than two years such as legal aids, relief and assistances of education.
