Tammuz Organization Implements a Storytelling Session on the Experiences of Returnees from Irregular Migration in Basra

Tammuz Organization for Social Development implemented a storytelling session on the experiences of returnees from irregular migration in Basra Governorate, in cooperation with the Ministry of Migration and Displacement, as part of the Raising Awareness of the Risks of Irregular Migration in Iraq (Phase II) 2026–2027 (RADIM2) project, funded by UK International Development and implemented in partnership with Seefar. The session was held on Tuesday, 6 October 2026.

The session was attended by 31 participants. It aimed to shed light on the stories and experiences of returnees from irregular migration and share them with the local community in order to raise awareness of the risks associated with this phenomenon and highlight the challenges and difficulties faced by migrants throughout their journeys.
