The second consultative meeting on the rehabilitation of Mandi Park in Nasiriyah

on Thursday, September 8, 2022, Tammuz Organization for Social Development held the second consultative meeting on the rehabilitation and repair of the Mandi Park, which is in the city of Nasiriyah, within the “Taafee” program funded by the United States Agency for International Development.

The seminar began with a by the director of the Tammuz Organization office in Dhi Qar, Razzaq Obaid, about the project work plan, its enactment mechanisms, and the ultimate form of the garden after fulfillment of the repair and rehabilitation works. After that, Captain Sada Jabbar the Family and Child Department director in Dhi Qar was invited to talk about the problems and challenges facing nowadays families in public places and how to find solutions to them.

A discussion was opened about what had been raised among the attendees, and it was agreed on a bunch of proposals that will be presented to the implementing agency for the purpose of making the essential changes.

The meeting was attended by a number of representatives of the local government and state departments in Dhi Qar Governorate, in addition to representatives of civil society organizations and a group of key figures from the surrounding areas in the park.
