“Women for Women”

Tammuz Organization for Social Development, in partnership with Iraqi Alamal Association, launched the “Women for Women” initiative as part of the Women for Democracy project “To celebrate and discuss women’s issues in Najaf Governorate, on the occasion of International Women’s Day, on Friday, March 8, 2024.

The event was attended by 25 women and included several activities, most notably: a discussion with Najaf Governorate Council member Mrs. Heba Al-Kufi about the role of women in politics and the challenges faced during the nomination period. Also, clarification of the role of women in civil society and organizations, in addition to discussing the reality of women in Najaf Governorate during the year 2024. Furthermore, the economic role of women and the challenges for working women in the governorate were addressed.”
