Workshop on Developing Women’s Skills in Negotiations and Peacebuilding

On Monday, February 20, 2023, in cooperation with the Women’s Empowerment Department in Dhi Qar Governorate, The Revolution is Female team implemented a workshop on developing women’s skills in negotiations, with the participation of officials from the Women’s Empowerment Department in the governorate departments.

The workshop started with a brief summary presented by colleague Israa Abdel Karim, the project coordinator, on the project The Revolution is Female and the activities implemented by the team in Dhi Qar governorate. After that, the leadership skills trainer, Mr. Mohamed Thamer, gave a presentation on international and regional legislative frameworks, 1325 Resolution and the subsequent and complementary decisions.

The topic of and negotiation was also discussed in addition to the empowerment most critical challenges facing women in the field of peacebuilding and the role of the media in its promotion, and then a film that dealt with these roles was shown and discussed.
