Discussion Session on the Role of Foreign Organizations in Combating Corruption and Promoting Integrity and Transparency

Tammuz Organization for Social Development, in cooperation with the NGO Relations Department at the Commission of Integrity, organized a discussion session entitled “The Role of Foreign Organizations in Combating Corruption and Promoting Integrity and Transparency” on Tuesday, 27 January 2025, in Baghdad.
The session was attended by representatives of local and international civil society organizations. During the session, colleague Ivan Kareem delivered a presentation addressing the role of foreign organizations in strengthening the capacities of local civil society organizations. In addition, Mr. Safaa Hussein from the Commission of Integrity highlighted the importance of international organizations adopting projects and policies that contribute to promoting integrity and combating corruption, as well as transferring their expertise and experiences in this field to local organizations.

The session also included an open discussion among participants on the presented topics, which resulted in a set of proposals and recommendations aimed at enhancing cooperation between local and international organizations in the fields of integrity and anti-corruption.
