Election Monitoring Networks Release Closure Report for General Voting for Kurdistan Regional Parliament Elections.
The closure report covers the closing period of polling stations from 6:00 pm when the devices are closed and the results appear, and the manual counting and sorting process begins, and the results are matched with the electronic tape. The attached report covers the answers that were received from the observers during this level, which ends at 12:00 am. The answers are for 456 observers.
It is worth noting that the Tammuz Organization for Social Development’s observer network monitors the elections in the Kurdistan Region with more than 200 observers distributed by polling centers and stations. The monitoring is carried out within the framework of the Alliance of National Networks and Organizations to Monitor the Kurdistan Regional Parliament Elections, which monitors with more than 1,600 observers, and within the Democracy and Transparency Project ” Enabling Civic Participation and Media Freedom” in partnership with the Norwegian People’s Aid (NPA) and with support from the European Union.
It is worth noting that the monitoring is carried out on a long-term basis, starting from the stage of approving the election law, and the monitoring continues until the day of the general vote on October 20th, monitoring the counting, sorting, and auditing, and reaching the final announcement of the election results.
