Tammuz Conducts Training of Trainers on the Escape Game in Dhi Qar

Tammuz Organization for Social Development conducted a Training of Trainers (ToT) for a group of teachers on the use of an educational escape game as an innovative tool to raise awareness about the risks of irregular migration. The training was implemented in cooperation with Ministry of Migration and Displacement within the framework of the Raising Awareness of the Risks of Irregular Migration in Iraq (RADIM) project, funded by UK International Development and implemented in partnership with Seefar, on Saturday, 7 March 2026 in Dhi Qar Governorate.
The training aimed to introduce participants to the mechanisms for using the game, which was specifically designed to raise awareness among youth and adolescents about the risks of irregular migration through a modern and interactive approach. The game relies on solving puzzles and collaborative thinking to reach solutions and successfully complete the challenge, helping deliver awareness messages in an engaging way aligned with students’ interests.

The training included an explanation of the game’s concept and its awareness objectives, in addition to a practical exercise during which participants experienced the gameplay and learned how to facilitate educational sessions with students. It also introduced methods for integrating the game’s elements to communicate information about the risks of irregular migration and the social and humanitarian consequences associated with it.
The teachers who participated in the training are expected to implement the game with their students, aiming to raise awareness among youth and adolescents about the dangers of irregular migration and encourage them to make informed and responsible decisions about their future.
