Tammuz Conducts Training Sessions for Students on the Awareness Escape Game in Baghdad

Tammuz Organization for Social Development conducted 8 training sessions targeting school and university students on the use of an awareness escape game as an innovative tool to raise awareness about the risks of irregular migration. The sessions were implemented within the framework of the Raising Awareness of the Risks of Irregular Migration in Iraq (RADIM) project, funded by UK International Development and implemented in partnership with Seefar, during the period 12–18 March 2026 in Baghdad.

The sessions aimed to raise students’ awareness of the risks of irregular migration through a modern and interactive approach, based on solving puzzles and teamwork to reach solutions within the game, thereby delivering awareness messages in an engaging way aligned with youth interests.

The sessions included an introduction to the game’s concept and objectives, in addition to a practical exercise in which participants experienced the gameplay. Scenarios simulating real-life irregular migration and its associated challenges were incorporated, helping to enhance practical understanding of the social and humanitarian risks that migrants may face.

The sessions witnessed notable engagement from students, who showed strong interest in this interactive, experience-based learning approach, emphasizing the importance of such activities in raising awareness and enabling them to make more informed decisions about their future.
