A Ramadan Evening in Celebration of International Women’s Day in Dhi Qar

The project team of “women for Democracy, implemented by the Tammuz Organization for Social Development in collaboration with the Women’s League, the Women’s Affairs Department of the province, and the “Plant a More Beautiful Homeland” team, organized a Ramadan evening in celebration of International Women’s Day. The event was held on Friday, March 14, 2025, at the Martyr Ahmed Noufal Gardens in Nasiriyah. 

The evening was attended by representatives from civil society organizations, the Provincial Council, and the local government, alongside many families. The event aimed to celebrate women on their global day, honor creative and active women in the community, and highlight their success stories and the challenges faced by women in the province. 

The evening’s activities also included a bazaar to sell handmade crafts, food, books, and paintings, designed to support women economically and encourage them to continue their own projects.
