On Saturday, January 22, 2022 in Najaf Governorate, within the Female Revolution Project,   Tammuz Organization for Social Development held a dialogue session on gender and feminist principles for the staff of Al-Mutanabi Private School.

The aim of the event was to discuss gender with the educational staff to increase their cognition about the seriousness of gender in all areas of life, and in teaching and how to deal with students away from gender discrimination.

During the session, they also talked about various topics, the most eminent of which was how to strengthen the voice of women to encounter iniquity and discrimination. Situations and stories of the participants were presented in which they were subjected to discrimination because they are female and how to confront these situations. In addition, the concept of rejection and resistance and others were discussed.

It is worth noting that the “Female Revolution” project is implemented by the Tammuz Organization in cooperation with the PAX organization in the governorates of Najaf and Dhi Qar. It is a program that aims to highlight the role of women and develop their capabilities to be able to change their stereotyped image and participate effectively in leadership and decision-making positions.
