Educational Seminar on Elections in Najaf

The project team of “women for Democracy”, which implemented by Tammuz Organization for Social Development, held an educational seminar on elections in cooperation with the Independent High Electoral Commission – Najaf Office and the Directorate of Youth and Sports on Monday, April 28, 2025.

Thirty women attended the seminar, representing the various Youth and Sports Department offices across the governorate. Mr. Ahmed Radi from the Najaf Electoral Commission office delivered a lecture covering several topics, most notably: an explanation of Elections Law No. 4 of 2023; the mechanism of the women’s quota and different electoral systems; as well as the division of electoral districts and the process for updating the voter registry.
