Job Announcement” Project Manager”

Tammuz Organization for Social Development announces a vacancy for a full-time female employee residing exclusively in Baghdad to work as a Project Manager for the “Women for Democracy” project. The project aims to (support women, build their capacities, and empower them to drive transformations towards a more just, peaceful, and inclusive society, as well as to increase women’s community participation). The organization is implementing this project in the governorates of Najaf and Dhi Qar, and it will continue until the end of 2025. The required tasks and qualifications for this position are listed below:

Tasks:

1– Ability to plan, implement, and follow up with the project team

    2 – Strong communication skills and teamwork to achieve the project goals and outcomes.

    3 – Ability to analyze risks and develop alternative plans to overcome them.

    4 – Administrative and technical skills, including writing various project reports, following up with the team, and improving their abilities in these areas.

    5 – Good communication with donors, partners, stakeholders, and any relevant parties, and building good relationships with them.

    6 – Ensure the project team adheres to work plans, financial policies, and administrative procedures, ensuring proper use of resources and assets.

    7 – Ability to travel within Iraq and also outside Iraq to follow up on activities and attend events as required by the work.

    8 – Actively participate in and contribute to consortium meetings at the national and international levels.

    9 – Acceptance and signing of the code of conduct, protection policies, and other organizational policies.

    Required Qualifications:

    1 – University degree.

    2 – Experience in working with organizations and project management for at least three years.

    3 – Proficiency in English language, both reading and writing and talking, which is a condition for employment, as meetings with partners and donors will be in English, as well as monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.

    4 – Knowledge of computer use, primarily Microsoft Office.4

    5 – Alignment and commitment to the values of the project

    Application Process:
