“She Speaks: The First Creative Women’s Conference in Baghdad”
As part of the “Women for Democracy” The UPP in collaboration with Tammuz Organization for Social Development and other project partners organized the First Creative Women’s Conference in Baghdad Governorate on Saturday, December 14th, 2024.
The conference was attended by feminist activists, representatives of civil society organizations, and representatives from the Dutch Embassy.
The conference featured various activities, including poetry and musical p
erformances by talented women. Additionally, there was an art exhibition where Iraqi female artists showcased paintings that embodied creativity and feminine strength.
The event also included discussion panels with pioneering women who shared their inspiring experiences in civil work, public service, humanitarian and community activities, and advocacy for women’s rights. The speakers addressed ways to enhance women’s roles and promote their contributions to building and developing society.
