Training Workshop: “Citizenship and Arts”

As part of the Women for Democracy project implemented by Tammuz Organization for Social Development, Citizenship and Arts Initiative Team in Thi Qar organized a training workshop aimed at enhancing the skills of 20 participants in various artistic fields on Tuesday, October 29, 2024.

The participants were trained on several topics, most notably: linking citizenship with the arts, the evolution of the concept of citizenship throughout history, and clarifying the role of female artists in promoting national identity. Additionally, stories of female artists from different countries who contributed to enhancing citizenship through art were presented.

The other part of the training was dedicated to practically developing the participants’ skills through hands-on training in painting, public speaking, poetry, and playing musical instruments.
