Tammuz Conducts Storytelling Sessions for Returnees from Irregular Migration in Dhi Qar

Tammuz Organization for Social Development conducted five storytelling sessions for returnees from migration, in cooperation with the Ministry of Migration and Displacement, within the framework of the Raising Awareness of the Risks of Irregular Migration in Iraq (RADIM) project, funded by UK International Development and implemented in partnership with Seefar. The sessions were held during the period from 20 to 23 January 2026 in Dhi Qar Governorate.

The sessions were attended by a number of local citizens and community leaders from several areas of the governorate. They aimed to highlight and convey the stories and experiences of returnees from irregular migration to the local community, with the objective of raising awareness of the risks associated with this phenomenon and introducing the challenges and hardships migrants faced during their journeys.
