Training Workshop on Project Writing and Management

Tammuz Organization for Social Development, in partnership with the Friedrich Ebert Foundation, conducted a training workshop on project writing and management as part of the fifth generation of the Youth Leaders Program during the period from September 26-28, 2024, in Baghdad.

Twenty-four young men and women from various Iraqi provinces attended the training, which was led by trainer Montadhar Hassan. The first day began with an explanation of the project life cycle, how to analyze societal problems and stakeholders, as well as how to set realistic goals for projects or initiatives. The trainer also divided the participants into working groups to work on the topics discussed.

On the second day, strategies for influence methods were explained, along with how to identify approaches and activities for community engagement and exploring capabilities and resources. The trainer also discussed the theory of change and asked the working groups to link the goals they had set with the theory of change. Afterward, the working groups conducted risk assessments for their initiatives.

On the third day, the participants met with members of the Sasa Organization for Youth Political Participation and members of the Wish Humanitarian Organization at Al-Mutanabbi Street, where the goal was for the young leaders to learn about successful experiences in civil society and the challenges they faced along their journey.It is worth mentioning that the project writing and management workshop is the last workshop for the fifth generation. We awarded the participants graduation certificates and thanked them for their commitment and efforts over the past year and a half, wishing them success in serving their communities.
